Revolutionizing Fanfiction: Shoujo Kakumei
Utena!
Well...hopefully this will soon be the home of my Utena fanfiction
which is lurking in the bowels of my shell account at the moment in a
long-forgotten file which I never look at anymore ;). Until then, enjoy
the pretty background and stuff. ^_^
About Shoujo Kakumei Utena:
Admittedly, I don't know as much about Utena as I probably should.
I've seen up through epsiode 4, and have had EXTENSIVE secondhand
exposure to it thanks to Loki and
Haruka, but that's about it. However, in the spirit of the thing, I've
played Himemiya Anshi, the Hanayome no Bara (Rose Bride) of the
series on ElseMUCK,
for about 8 months. I'd have to say, simply from roleplaying in
the universe ALONE, that Utena is a series worth mention. It's filled with
intriguing psychological issues and seemingly superficial characters with
a lot of deeper issues locked inside.
Anyhow. If you'd like to get some fan exposure to Utena, then I
suggest stopping by the official Logs
Page, which chronicles all the collected Utena RP from ElseMUCK, from
our canon
beginnings at the end of the Kurobara Hen up to our impending finale and
the revealtions therewith. The log page is kept by Ten'jou Utena, whom you can mail
questions or requests to.

I really only have two links up here, but these two links are
everything you need, in my opinion. =P I highly suggest following them and
giving them both heavy and thorough perusal if you've truly got an
interest in Shoujo Kakumei Utena!
The Ends of
the Web are the Utena pages of ElseMUCK's Utena player, and the home
of the log page mentioned above. It's more a fan-based than directly
informative page but there is a fascinating character dissection done as
well as links to other sites and some absolutely GORGEOUS fanart.
Or, you could visit the
Utena Encyclopedia... This page is probably one of the definitive
webpages
out there in English on this particular anime; there are character bios,
episode synposes, multimedia, news, pictures, and more. Definately worth
20 visits or so. n.n
The Utena Pictures!:
Well, I don't have much. And yes, admittedly what I do have is
probably stolen from somewhere else and has long just been sitting in my
directories for ages so I can't remember where it's from. But hey, if you
wanna see them, here they are. n.n
I believe these are originally from the Utena Encyclopedia but I'm not certain...

Themes of the Revolution:
Although I haven't seen as much of Utena as I'd like, I do know
that what I have seen had some incredible musical scoring to it, and so I
wanted to do my best to make a little bit of that music available to the
Utena fandom and anime fandom in general. It's not policy to slap up mp3s
of an entire soundtrack (I have the first, third, and fourth CDs) since
that robs a lot of important people of things they can rightly sue me for.
However, feel free to visit my music page for a
sampling of some of the Utena musics in mp3 format.
The Akio Horror Picture Show!
I've ALWAYS been a huge fan of the Rocky Horror Picture
Show,
so when Utena suggested this project originally, I
was ECSTATIC about it. We both agreed that it would be INCREDIBLY easy to
cast RHPS with the Utena cast...so that's exactly what we did. The script
has been rewritten to fit the characters, and while it's not entirely
accurate, critics agree that it's pretty damn funny.
WARNING!: This script contains many, many sexual references,
instances of profanity, adult situations, and spiolers about the Utena
